Robert L. Collins, PhD
Dr. Collins is a board certified clinical neuropsychologist (ABPP), practicing in Houston, Texas since 2006. He completed his Ph.D. in clinical psychology (neuropsychology specialization) at the University of Houston in 2004, clinical internship at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, and neuropsychology residency training at the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center (2006).
Dr. Collins is widely published in areas of neurodegenerative disorders, epilepsy, traumatic brain injury, and validity testing. Dr. Collins is an experienced and reliable consultant, approaching all cases from an evidenced-based medicine perspective. He has conducted over 1000 complex medical file reviews, and insurance requested independent medical/neuropsychological examinations, for the purpose of assisting in disability determinations, treatment recommendations, and potential for return to work.
Dr. Collins has worked with numerous attorneys (plaintiff and defense), providing evidenced-based expert consultation and independent neuropsychological evaluations in support of cases. Dr. Collins is an NFL BAP-approved examiner and has evaluated over 350 former players as part of the NFL Concussion Settlement (both pre-effective evaluations and post-effective BAP and MAF evaluations).
